Affiliate disclosure
China Travel Kit is a one-person, independent site. To keep the guides free to read, some links on this site are affiliate links. This page explains exactly how that works.
What an affiliate link means
If you click one of these links and later book a hotel, buy an eSIM, or take out insurance, I may receive a small commission from the company. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same whether you use my link or go direct.
What it does NOT mean
- I only link to tools I've actually used or would send a friend to.
- Commissions never decide what's on the list. If a free option is better, I say so.
- I don't accept payment to add, remove, or rank a product. There are no "sponsored picks" dressed up as editorial.
- This site carries no advertising cookies and no tracking scripts.
The honest version: the few affiliate links here help cover the cost of keeping the site running. They're a convenience, not a conflict — and you can always book direct if you prefer.
Where you'll see them
Mostly on the Recommended Tools page and inside a few guides (eSIM, trains, insurance). Each is labelled as a recommendation, and the free alternative is noted alongside it.
Questions?
If anything about a link feels off, that's worth knowing — reach out and I'll fix it.
